The bold camellia heralds the coming of Spring and, as such, is regarded as a sacred flower. Sometimes referred to as the 'Japanese rose', camellias also symbolise love and adoration.
In a perfect blend of East meets West, these gorgeous 'furoshiki' wrapping cloths are a collaboration between Musubi, a renowned Kyoto-based manufacturer of furoshiki, and Adeline Klam, a French designer whose acclaimed work has been influenced by Japanese washi paper designs.
This colourful design features large white and yellow camellia flowers with mint green leaves on a pastel pink background. Splashes of vibrant yellow give the floral design a refreshing zest which will look lovely when folded into a tote bag. You can also use your furoshiki as reusable wrap for gifts and to carry bottles.
In 100% organic cotton, the fabric has a lovely crêpe-y feel giving this furoshiki a luxurious and very typical Japanese look.
This medium size furoshiki measures 70cm x 70cm (about 27½").
Handwash only, cool iron.
Made in Japan.
